Video - Session 8: Is swearing going to get our workplace in trouble?

Description

This educational video allows supervisors & managers to have an interactive discussion with their employees to prevent simple problems turning into big and costly disasters. Everyone learns about the most common forms of workplace human rights issues in a short space of time and at a very reasonable price.

Swearing, on its own, is not a violation of the law, unless employees are swearing about, or to, certain people.  Swearing at women, or dark-skinned people, or gay employees, clearly are going to get someone in trouble if someone complains. But what of swearing generally? In this video this more complex issue is discussed and explained, allowing employees to decide what words cross the line and what words do not. Discussing this issue with your employees may save you from dealing with a much bigger problem down the road.  This clip is 6 minutes and 43 seconds in length.  Add a few more minutes for discussion and you can have a valuable tool to avoid workplace human rights disasters.
